Pickerel Lake is located on M-37 (Bitely), 9 miles south of Baldwin in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. It is a private lake, 100 acres in size & allows power boats & water skiing, but it is best suited for peaceful enjoyment. There is excellent fishing with all kinds of pan fish, bass & pike. Ducks & Loons make their home on the lake & occasionally eagles are seen.
We are conveniently located - within 5 minutes of Baldwin & the famous Pere Marquette River, great for canoeing & fishing. Also minutes away are miles of public land for hiking and hunting. Lake Michigan at Ludington or Manistee is 45 minutes & Traverse City is 90 minutes.
Our property features over 750 feet of lake frontage & nearly 40 acres of wooded property with trails to explore & watch wildlife. In addition, there is a boat launch, buoyed swimming area, basketball & volleyball court, horseshoes, covered lakefront pavilion with electric, & fish cleaning station.
